Page Kicker Commits To Vols

Tennessee football coach Butch Jones has made it a priority to build the Volunteer roster by keeping all the best talent in Tennessee within the state borders. This weekend, he was able to bolster that by adding one of the nation’s best kickers in next year’s recruiting class in Tennessee. That kicker, Page High’s Brent Cimaglia.

Cimaglia was offered by the Vols on Saturday during the “Statement Camp” held in Knoxville, before committing to UT the following day. Before committing to Tennessee, Cimaglia had been committed to Southern Miss since July of 2015. Cimaglia was ranked as a 3-star prospect by 247 Sports, traditionally the highest star-rating specialists receive. 247 also ranked him as the 5th best kicker nationally and the 52nd best prospect in Tennessee.

Chris Sailer Kicking, the kicking affiliate with the US Army All-American Bowl, has ranked Cimaglia as “one of the top combo prospects in the country,” ranking him as the 3rd best kicking and 6th best punting prospect in the country. Sailer went on to say, “Brent is a big time all around K/P prospect. A great athlete with one of the strongest legs in his class. Field goals are smooth and consistent off the ground. Kickoffs are near the very top of his class. Also a top national punting prospect. Does very well under pressure.”

Cimaglia is one of two Williamson County prospects highly-ranked by Sailer. Brentwood’s Tucker Day is ranked as the number two punter in the country by Chris Sailer Kicking. With talented specialists like Cimaglia and Day, it looks likely that Williamson County may very well repeat as Mr. Football Kicker of the Year, after Ravenwood’s Crews Holt’s win this past season.
