Can Page Stay Perfect at Lipscomb?

Page plays at Lipscomb on Friday, and after the way the Patriots came crashing out of the gate last week Lipscomb might want to watch out.

Raised Expectations?

Before Page opened its season against Fairview last Friday coach Charles Rathbone tried to temper expectations.

The Patriots, who had lost four of their last five against the Yellowjackets, were replacing starters all over the field- four out of five on the offensive line.

So now, despite walloping Fairview, Page will approach Lipscomb with the same feeling-things-out approach.

We need to see what we have got, and how new players respond, said Rathbone.

He said after the Fairview win he would settle his team down and look at tape and bring the new players down a notch- to show them they are not perfect and that one good game means nothing if its not repeatable.

But he acknowledged his team has a lot of potential.

“We have got some special players, like Magochy, and receivers who can go,” Rathbone said.

Last year Page started its season with a win over Lipscomb. So Lipscomb will be fired up for payback.

Look for quarterback Michael Magochy, who went 9 of 15 for 169 yards and 2 TDs last week, and Conner Morss, 4 catches for 70 yards and a TD, to hook up again this week.
