“A Christmas Story-The Musical” is a Tony-award nominated musical based on the classic 1983 holiday film and the book by Joseph Robinette. Set in 1940s Indiana, it tells the story of 9-year-old Ralphie, who dreams of getting a red Ryder BB-gun for Christmas. This musical version features all of Ralphie’s predicaments, and includes songs like “You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out” and “Up on Santa’s Lap.”  The Star Bright Players presentation is produced by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock, Illinois.

Rehearsals for “A Christmas Story-The Musical” will be held at Freedom Middle School on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for nine weeks. If cast, children must be able to meet the commitments of this rehearsal schedule. There is a $75 activity fee for all children cast in the show (includes costume rental and cast t-shirt).
