Local Business Owner Rescues Kitten

Ollie the Cat Rescued at Super Lube Express

At the Super Express Lube in Franklin, owner Dominick Trujillo took his job to a new level. Earlier this week, a customer driving a Honda Accord discovered a kitten trapped in her front bumper.

Unable to free the kitten, she drove to Super Express Lube asking for help. Trujillo had to remove the front tire and was finally able to coax the kitten free.

Bookkeeper and Office Manager for Super Express Lube, Christany Vigil examined the kitten and noticed its front leg was not functioning properly. She immediately drove the kitten to Pet Vet in Franklin.

“They immediately took care of him, they bathed him, cleaned him up, pulled off a lot of ticks and fleas. They did an x-ray on his front leg and unfortunately, it is was broken. The vet said that since he is so young, they think he is approximately 5 weeks old,  that he may heal. They put a cast on his little leg and kept him overnight to monitor that he was okay.”

Trujillo and Vigil didn’t just take the kitten to the vet, but they also followed up the next day.

“We picked him up the next day from the vet, and they did nothing but rave about him. They informed us that he is an awesome little kitty who loves belly rubs!”

And since this is the first time they have rescued a kitten, they decided the kitten should join their family.

“We have given him the name of Ollie and plan to keep the little guy. Our puppies are very excited about our new member. We are happy that we were able to get to the little guy before something bad happened to him.”

Vigil told us Ollie would be returning to the vet next week for a follow-up.

The car owner has no idea how the cat found its way to their car bumper but was very thankful for Trujillo’s help.

Super Express Lube is located at 4169 Mallory Lane, Franklin.
