O’Charley’s Offers Free Meals for Veterans

O’Charley’s has a longstanding history of honoring veterans and military personnel through the Hometown Hero program, Operation Gratitude and annual Veterans Day celebrations. Because of this, Ned and the company received the Department of Defense Certificate of Appreciation.

O’Charley’s President Ned Lidvall was joined by Lieutenant Colonel John Dyess and Lieutenant Colonel Robert Wagner at the Department of Defense Award Ceremony at the Brentwood O’Charley’s on Wednesday,November 4.

During the event, Ned was presented with additional items including an Army lapel pin, military coins and an Army fatigue football among other special presentations.

“Our founder Charley Watkins was a Marine veteran with more than 20 years in the US Marine Corps. His commitment to service plays a big role in O’Charley’s dedication to honoring military members. By celebrating the men and women who serve our country, we are continuing Charley’s legacy,” said Ned Lidvall.

O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar locations throughout middle Tenn. will offer free $9.99er meals to veterans on Monday, November 9. All veterans who show their military ID can choose from one of nine $9.99er meals including O’Charley’s Famous Chicken Tenders & Twisted Chips, Bayou Shrimp Pasta and Chicken Fried Steak, among other meals. Restaurant participation may vary by location.

In addition to free meals, veterans will continue to enjoy Free Pie Wednesday with the purchase of an entree on November 11, choosing from signature pies such as Double-Crust Peach, Southern Pecan, French Silk, Country Apple and Ooey Gooey Caramel. O’Charley’s restaurants bake fruit pies and freshly prepare their own whipping cream in-house every day.

Locations nationwide have undergone a reimaging process that features refurbished store interiors and exteriors, a new brand mark and updated menu items. O’Charley’s is continuing to revitalize restaurants around the country.
