William Thomas “Willie” Pewitt, age 82 of Franklin, TN passed away October 21, 2019.
Willie was a retired golf course superintendent. A member of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America for over 40+ years and a member of the Tennessee Turf Association.
Preceded in death by parents, Thomas H. and Ruth Price Pewitt; brothers, Benny Pewitt and David Pewitt and sister in law, Eva Covington Pewitt. Survived by: wife of 54 years, Juanita Sumner Pewitt; son, William Patrick “Pat” (Mandy) Pewitt; grandchildren, Benjamin Prosser Pewitt and Poplin Grace Pewitt; sisters, Mildred Rediker and Lucille Smithson; sister in law, Brenda Pewitt and other loving family members.
Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Gary Shrader and Channing Workman officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry M. “Mac” Pewitt, Jimbo Thomas, Jim Pewitt and Peter Guse.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association or Tennessee Golf Associtaion at The Little Course. Visitation will be 4-8PM Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289 williamsonmemorial.com
