Virginia Biddle Chism, 77, of Arrington, Tennessee passed away November 6, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her father William E. Biddle and mother Marion A. Biddle of Anniston, Alabama and a brother William Michael Biddle of Temple Terrace, Florida.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Walter D. Chism of Arrington, Tennessee, sons Russell W. Chism of Roswell, Georgia and Leon T. (Karen) Chism of Glen Ellyn, Il. Granddaughters Katherine Ann Chism and Kelly Elizabeth Chism and numerous nieces and nephews.
She a was graduate of Anniston High School and Samford University where she participated in competitive diving and synchronized swimming. She was a school teacher for many years, a Sunday School Teacher, a 45-year survivor of breast cancer and served on various boards and committees in her church. She was elected to the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association.
A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, November 11, 2017 11 AM at the Franklin First United Methodist Church, Historic Sanctuary, 148 5th Avenue South.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM.
