Susanne (Susie) Patschke, loving wife, mother and friend went to live with her Lord on June 4, 2019.
She was a long-time member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Duncanville and now Living Faith Lutheran Church, Midlothian. She served on the Altar Guild, Ladies Fellowship group, taught Vacation Bible School and led the Lutheran Girl Pioneers. Susie was born and raised in Austin, but has been a resident of the Waxahachie area for over 30 years. She volunteered at Northside Elementary school in Waxahachie for many years and for the last fifteen years worked as volunteer at Baylor Scott and White Hospital Auxiliary, Thrift Store, Waxahachie. She turned this into a nearly full-time job. Susie enjoyed traveling and visiting new and unique places.
Susie was proceeded in death by her parents EJ and Ruth McCain, and sister Carolyn Arndt. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Walter Patschke of Waxahachie, Texas; daughters Lisa Hill of Plano, Texas and Kimberly Adair of Franklin, Tennessee; Sons-in- law Chuck Hill and Tommy Adair; and grandchildren Noah Salcido and Piper Hill.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 7, 2019 at Midlothian Funeral Home, 200 E. Ave East, Midlothian, TX from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00am with interment immediately following.
