OBITUARY: Richard Isaac Irwin

Richard Isaac Irwin, age 86, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at West Meade Care Center in Nashville. A native of Williamson County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Walter Grant Irwin and the late Florina Rader Irwin, being the 9th of 14 children overall, and was the 5th of 8 boys. He spent more than 40 years as a roofer. He was a member of Southall Church. He loved traveling especially in his later years. He was a natural boxer and enjoyed working out with his brothers at the YMCA. He was a very sociable person and had a great personality. He was always willing to help anyone in need especially the elderly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 5 sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his son, Ricky (Cheryl) Irwin; brothers, Charlie (Cindy) Irwin and Jim (Judy) Irwin; sister, Lola Williams; 2 grandchildren; dozens of nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Kyle, Jose, and Pastor Ken Hobbs.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Johnson Hollow Cemetery. Visitation with the family begins at 11 AM on Tuesday.
