OBITUARY: Mr. Floyd “Paw” Milton Anderson

Floyd M. “Paw” Anderson, age 86 of Franklin, TN. passed away February 9, 2019.

Floyd was a hardworking, easy-going, kind hearted soul. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. Floyd served our Country during the Korean War with the US Army. He retired with Nashville Bridge Company and then went on to work for the City of Franklin Water Dept. for 27 years. He is a life time member of the Williamson County Rescue Squad. Floyd has also spent many years farming while on his John Deere Tractor.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Berry Green and Amanda McNeil Anderson; sisters, America, MattiLou, Lillie Mae, Mary and Winnie; brothers, Bryan, Berry Jr., Alfred and Malcom. Paw is survived by the Love of His Life whom he has been married to for 65 years and 6 months, Elaine Harris Anderson – Williamson County Clerk; daughter, Donna Anderson (Wayne) Whidby; grandchildren. Jeffrey (Jessica) Whidby and Dani Sims; special friends, County Mayor Rogers Anderson, Ronnie Lackey and farm manager, Randy Whidby; faithful companion, Shack.

Visitation with the Anderson Family will be held 3-8:00PM Tuesday, Feb. 12 and one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Ronnie Johnson and Jim Taylor officiating. Interment, Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Williamson County Rescue Squad, City of Franklin employees and Williamson County Government employees. A special thanks to son in-law Wayne Whidby for the special care he gave him. Also thank you for the special care he received at Grace Healthcare and to his great friend Dr. McGinley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. To know Mr. Floyd was to know a great man and true friend.
