Marjorie Lee Sullivan Edgmon, age 101 of Franklin, TN passed away November 19, 2017 at her home. Born in Williamson County, TN to the late Sarah & Matt Sullivan.
She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church and oldest living member of Franklin First United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Horace Edgmon Sunday School Class. Marjorie was also active in Meals On Wheels, United Methodist Women and the Williamson Co. Home Demonstration Club.
Prior to becoming a full-time homemaker, she was a nurse at Dan German Hospital and also worked at Franklin Fabric Center on 4th Ave.
Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Horace Edgmon; daughter, Pamela Edgmon; granddaughter, Katie Jeter; siblings, Lillian Inman, Trudy Heithcock, Wylie Sullivan, Mary Sweeney, Eddean Gregory, Molly Davis, Andrew Sullivan and Pete Sullivan.
Survived by loving daughters, Linda Newton, Frances (Jerry) Bozeman and Mamie (Kurt) Jeter all of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Eddie (Lisa) Newton of Hendersoville, TN, Ken Newton of Franklin, TN, Lori (Brad) Holliman of Joelton, TN, Jennifer (Isaac) York of Franklin, TN, Jeri Frances Bozeman of Franklin, TN, Matt (Brooke) Jeter of Louisville, KY & Ben (Tina) Jeter of Thompsons Station, TN; ten great-grandchildren and loving caregiver Merlene Brice.
A Family Graveside service will be 11:00AM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Mt. Hope Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, December 3, 2017 with visitation one hour prior at Historic Franklin First United Methodist Church, 148 5th Ave. Franklin, TN.
