Leida Luz Velez, age 60 of Franklin, TN passed away September 21, 2019.
Leida will be most remembered for the love she had for her family and community. Her spirit was a joyful light everywhere she went and she knew no strangers. Leida loved to study, preach, and teach the word of God. Her devotion to her Christian faith led to a prison ministry “The Lillies”, whom she adored.
She is preceded in death by her father, Adalberto Velez and sister, Laura Lee Cedeno. Survived by her mother, Luz Marin (Ramon); daughter, Charlene Mena (Manuel); son, Josue Velasco (Maria); grandchildren, Samaria, Maegan, and Savannah Leah Mena; sisters, Magda Velez and Erica Gomez; brothers, Adalberto Velez, Jose Rivera and Ramon “Butchie” Marin and beloved dog, Romeo.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Pastor Marvin Young officiating. Interment will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens.
