Laura Leanne Buckner Whitaker, age 53 of Franklin, TN passed away March 10, 2019. Born in Chattanooga TN and attended Ooltewah High School.
Received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. After college obtained her CPA certification. Loving wife, mother and friend to many. Lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and attended Franklin First United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Clay Sr. and Mondilee Buckner and Homer and Leona Bridges. Survived by: husband, Chase Whitaker; son, Christian Taylor (Stephanie) Whitaker; daughter, Sydney Brooke Whitaker; parents, Clay Herbert, Jr. and Yvonne Bridges Buckner; sister, Christie Buckner Reed; father in law & mother in law, George Tillman and Betty Leming Whitaker; brother in law, Shea Whitaker; sister in law, Cara (Chuck) Bobinger.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 14, 2019 5:00 – 8:00 PM and Friday, March 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Franklin First United Methodist Church A Memorial service will be conducted Friday, March 15 at 11:00 AM at the church, Rev. Sarah Carty officiating.
