Joshua Cortez Walker passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 Columbia, Tennessee, at the age of 29. He was born in Williamson County, Tennessee, to parents Joe Peter Rucker, Jr. and Mia Walker.
Those left behind to cherish his memories; father, Joe Pete Rucker, Jr.; brother, Justin Rucker and Lontez Gibson; sisters, Aleshia Buford and DeTorrious Oden; uncle, James (LaTonya) Rucker; aunt, Elaine Walker; devoted aunts, Terrie Leslie and Rickie Harris; great uncle, Elder Howard (Mildred) Rucker, Stacy (Victoria) Sutton and Devontay Powell; great aunt Hattie Smith; devoted cousins, James Rucker, Jr., Javarria Rucker, Jacquise Oglesby, Zach Rucker, Jalen Curry, Tylin Oden and Nakedron Oden; especially devoted cousins, Delatrice Harrison, Tytianna Jones and Heaven Sparkman, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Rucker will lie in state on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 12 until 5 at the funeral home.
Visitation with family Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10 until 11 at Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 8210 Shady Grove Trail, Eagleville, TN 37060, with funeral to begin at 11 a.m. Elder Howard Rucker, officiating.
