John Clyde Reed, age 81 of Columbia, Tenn., formerly of Franklin, Tenn., passed away Dec. 8, 2016.
He was preceded in death by wife, Betty Ann Johnson Reed; parents, Floyd Lafayette and Nora Allen Williams Reed; brothers, J.N. Reed and Allen Reed. Survived by: Larry (Cathleen) Reed, Calvin (Sandra) Reed, Casey (Tammy) Reed and Jason (Candy) Reed; daughters, Jane (Johnny) Newcome and Lorie Anderson; brothers, Terry Reed and William (Beulah) Reed; sister, Nancy Bruce; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; sister in laws, Lela (Tommy) Allen and Janice (Tom) Fortenberry and other loving family members.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 3009 Columbia Ave., Franklin, with Jim Taylor officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve, Frank, Jimmy and Jeff Reed, Tom Fortenberry and all other golfing buddies. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289.
