Jane M. Haugh, age 93, passed away on April 20, 2019 surrounded by family at her side.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Maurice in 2015, loving daughter Lori Ward in 2017, and son-in-law Glen Goode in 2018.
She is survived by brother Ronnie (Penny) Murray; daughter Keri Goode; son-in-law Ben Ward; grandchildren: Jennifer (Heath) Garton, Rebecca (Nate) Jones, Stephen Ward, Brittney (Tracey) Woods, and Kimberly Goode; as well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-grandchildren.
Jane was born in Mt. Airy, Maryland, and attended Towson State University where she achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She married Maurice Haugh in 1947 and adopted two beautiful daughters, Lori and Keri. The family moved to Brentwood, TN in 1969 where Jane devoted her career to teaching elementary school children at Lipscomb Elementary School. After retirement, Jane enjoyed traveling around the country with her husband in their beloved Winnebago. She was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church. Jane found pleasure in reading, solving crossword puzzles, and going out for meals with loved ones. Jane will be greatly missed by all of the many people that she impacted with her passion for life, sweet smile and giving heart.
