James William Monk White

James William “Monk” White, age 79, of Chapel Hill, TN formerly of the Flat Creek Community, passed away June 27, 2019. Born in Williamson County, he was the son of the late Buford “Duck “White and Melba Gannon White. He was a farmer, had a family owned car business, and worked at the Williamson County Highway Department. Served as Elder and later as Deacon at Allisona Church of Christ.

Monk loved Fishing, gardening, telling stories, his cattle and dog, but most of all loved spoiling his wife Ann.

He is Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ann Tomlin White, Daughters, Laurie (Charlie) Meek, Glenda (Tim) Sandrell, Grandchildren, Brandon (Monica) Sandrell, T.J. (Anna) Sandrell, Chuck (Jennifer) Meek, Allison (Philip) Terhune, Abby Meek, Dustin (Riley) Sandrell. Great-Grandchildren, Mason and Maddox Sandrell, Whitney and Weston Terhune, Clayton Meek, Brother, Edward “Jack” (Margaret Ann) White and loving nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted 4PM Sunday June 30, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, John Miller officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1-4pm on Sunday prior to the service. Burial in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends to serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are his church family at Allisona Church of Christ and his many close friends. Memorials may be made to the Allisona Church of Christ in memory of James “Monk” White.

The family wishes to thank the special nurses Sydney and Jen, Doctors and Staffs at Williamson Medical Center, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center for their loving care.
