Jack White, of Brentwood, TN, went home to be with Lord on Friday, June 16, 2017. He was preceded by his dear wife of 53 years, Suzanne White, in July of 2012. He is survived by his two sons and eight grandchildren all of whom loved him very, very much.
Jack was born in Miami, FL in 1934. He served in the National Guard and the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1955. He attended Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville and Peabody College in Nashville where he met Suzanne and earned bachelor, master and doctorate degrees. After teaching at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, he returned to Nashville and taught at Peabody from 1969 until he retired in 1992.
He loved baseball, football and fishing! His family is so thankful for his love and his faith in God. We will miss him very much! We love you, Dad!
Graveside service will be held 10:00AM Thursday at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, TN. A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00PM Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
