Geraldine Fox Anderson, age 84, of the Bending Chestnut Community passed away January 20, 2017 at her home.
She owned and operated Fox Grocery for many years. She was a long time member of Craigfield Freewill Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Grover Cleveland “Mutt” Anderson; parents, Thomas Collie Fox, Sr. and Jewell Warf Fox; brothers, Thomas Collie “TC” Fox, Jr. and Gilbert Fox; sisters, Mavis Davis, Elise Baker, Julia Edwards and Margaret Jones. Survived by daughters, Jewel Dean Anderson and Gloria Dodd; son, Morris Anderson; grandchildren, Daniel (Jessica) Anderson and Abigail Dodd; great-grandchildren, Colton, Alyssa and Brooke Anderson; sister, Mary Ann (Willie B. Jr.) Davis; sister in-laws, Emma Jean Fox, Mildred Fox, Audrey Baker and Gertrude Anderson; special caregiver, Janice Collins.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 3009 Columbia Ave., Franklin, with Tommy Fox and Tommy Luther officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Daniel Anderson, Colton Anderson, Lynn Fox, Randy Fox, Roy Fox, David Edwards, Jimmy Davis and Chuck Jones. Honorary pallbearers: Howard Anderson, Willie B. “Jr.” Davis, Bill Hood, Randy Whidby, Harold Griggs, Robert Burns, Bobby Lampley, Thelbert Wright and Frank Fox. Memorials may be made to the Greenbrier Cemetery Fund. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Sunday and two hours prior to the service at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 615-794- 2289.
