George Lee “Buster” Pewitt, age 91, of Franklin, TN, passed away August 23, 2018 at his home.
He was a retired school bus driver for the Williamson County School System. He is preceded in death by parents, George Leslie and Irene Elizabeth Mealer Pewitt; sister, Betty Sue Stutts; and companion, Billie Jean Duff. Survived by sons, David Alton Pewitt and Rodney Lee Pewitt; daughter, Phoebe (Jimmy) Davis; stepdaughter, Nerissa Duff; sister, Mary Lou Pewitt; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and faithful dog, Timbo.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00AM Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Jim Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be Keith McDowell, Mont Pewitt, A.C. Veach, Damon Donnell, Jimmy Davis and David Pewitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Champion Run Senior Golf Friends. Memorial donations may be made to Williamson County Animal Shelter, 106 Claude Yates Dr., Franklin, TN 37064.
