Eleanor Bunny Lacy Jamison

Eleanor (Bunny) Lacy Jamison, age 84 of Franklin, TN passed away peacefully on December 13, 2017. Bunny was born in Mountain Brook, Alabama on January 11, 1933, daughter to the late Eleanor Durham and Joel Watkins Lacy.

Survived by her husband of 62 years, Henry D. Jamison III, son Henry D. Jamison IV (Candy) and daughters Lacy Jamison Nelson (Wade) and Elizabeth Jamison Young (Tim). Also survived by seven grandchildren, Zachary Benton Young, Marshall Durham Young, Caroline Young Stone (Seth), Owen Wade Nelson, Jr., Margaret Miller Jamison, Henry Downs Jamison V, Eleanor Lacy Jamison, and one great-grandchild, Elizabeth Eloise Stone.

Bunny attended Randolph Macon College and was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. She transferred to and graduated from Vanderbilt University where she served as President of the Panhellenic Council. Bunny was a member of the Junior League of Nashville, serving a term on its Board. She was also a member of the Board of Oak Hill School, President of the Nashville Tennis Association, the Tennessee Tennis Association, and enjoyed many good times as a member of the Charlotte Pearl Tennis Group. Bunny was an avid golfer, playing in the Nashville Women’s Golf Association and, in her later years, excelled at duplicate bridge. Bunny was a member of the General James Robertson Chapter of the DAR and the Centennial Club.

A private graveside service for immediate family will take place at Williamson Memorial Gardens with The Reverend W.R. McCown and The Reverend Monna Mayhall of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Franklin officiating.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
