Claude Richard Hillenbrand, age 101 of Spring Hill, TN went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 3, 2024.
He was born in Vincennes, Indiana to the late John Anthony and Mary Viola Davis Hillenbrand.
Claude was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. He flew thirty-five missions as a Flight Engineer Top Turret Gunner. He was a member of the American Legion and 452nd Bomb Group. He retired from Time D.C. Trucking Company with over twenty-five years of service. Claude was a faithful and dedicated member of Jones Chapel Church of the Nazarene.
Preceded in death by wives, C. Mae Bishop Hillenbrand and Barbara Jean Johnson Andrews Hillenbrand and grandson, Jeffrey Shea Hillenbrand.
Survived by: sons, Richard (Susan) Hillenbrand, John (Jan) Hillenbrand and Michael (Diane) Hillenbrand; grandchildren, Misty (Steven) Skelton, Angie (Jason) Ward, Cody Hillenbrand, Casey Hillenbrand, James Orrand, Paul (Alison) Hillenbrand and Melody (Jeremy) Mahala; twelve great-grandchildren and other loving family members.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Gary Fewell officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens with military honors. Active pallbearers will be Paul Hillenbrand, Ansel Hillenbrand, Braden Ward, Luke Skelton, Jeremy Mahala and Grayson Mahala. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Jones Chapel Church of the Nazarene.
Memorials may be made to Jones Chapel Church of the Nazarene or Tunnel to Towers.
