Charles Clay Dibrell, Sr.

Charles Clay Dibrell, Sr. age 74 of Franklin, TN passed away September 20, 2019.

Born in Ft. McClellan, AL to the late Charles Damon & Mary Clay Leiper Dibrell. He made his career in radio broadcasting for 56 years since 1956. Serving Franklin Radio broadcasting since 1964. Co-Founder, Partner and News Director with WAKM since 1982. Paul Harris Fellow and Past President of Franklin Noon Rotary. He served as a Deacon at Oak Valley Baptist Church where he was a faithful member.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, S.S. & Violia Damon Dibrell and James & Virginia Faulkner Leiper; sister, Virginia Rhea Usery. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cathy Page Dibrell of Franklin, TN; son, Charles “Clay” (Keri) Dibrell of Oxford, MS.

A Celebration of Life service will be 11:00AM Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Dr. Jerry Winfield officiating. Visitation will be 5-8PM Monday and at 10:00AM Tuesday prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Members of the Franklin Noon Rotary Club will serve as honorary pallbearers.
