Noon Rotary Recognizes Brentwood Public Servants

rotary annual picnicThe Annual Rotary Club Picnic and Awards Presentation was held Thursday evening at the Brentwood Granny White Park Rotary Pavilion to honor public servants in the  Brentwood Fire, Police, and Emergency Communications Offices for the services they provide to our community. Nearly thirty officers and their families from the two departments attended the event.

Awards for each division’s outstanding employee are presented at this annual event.

The award for the Brentwood Emergency Communications Dispatcher of the Year was presented to Laurie Morgan, a veteran of 22 years with the City of Brentwood.

The award for the Brentwood Patrolman of the Year was presented to Officer Colin Lane, an officer for 8 years, a member of the combined County SWAT Team and the Field Training Officer.

The award for the Brentwood Firefighter of the Year was presented to Doug Goddard, a Brentwood city employee for 28 years.

This year’s event was hosted by the Rotary Noon and Morning Clubs of Brentwood. The event was capped off with a barbecue dinner and live music. All leftover food was sent to the Brentwood Fire Halls to be enjoyed by the firefighters on duty and unable to attend the ceremony.
