Realtor.com recently released a list of some of the fastest growing suburbs in the nation, and Nolensville made a list.
“Demand is fierce in communities that have the right mix of good schools, short commute times, fun and walkable downtowns, and lots of new, spacious homes. And things are only likely to get hotter, considering that millennials, America’s biggest group of buyers, are moving to suburbia in ever-greater numbers,” the company wrote regarding its findings.
To compose their list they used data based on areas experiencing construction booms, home appreciation, and population growth in 7,000 zip codes with a focus on cities within an hour’s commute to an urban area.
The list features 10 cities with the number one spot going to Apex, North Carolina. Rounding out the top 10 list is Nolensville.
For Nolensville, the median home price is $511,000 with a three price appreciation of 34.3% and three year home listing increase of over 50 percent.
“It’s popular with young families and professionals buying their first, three-bedroom homes in subdivisions. Prices range from the high $300,000s to the low $700,000s,” says Realtor.com.
Realtor.com even included a quote from Nolensville Mayor Jimmy Alexander.“We’re a quaint small town that is growing by leaps and bounds,” Mayor Alexander said. That’s led to more traffic and higher home prices. “We are seeing new faces, mostly getting middle-class people moving here that want to get involved in the community.”
