Both Nolensville and Brentwood high schools beat their competition and won the titles during the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) volleyball state tournament.

Nolensville High won its first volleyball state title after defeating the two-year champions, Portland High, in the Class AA division. The championship team includes Caroline Johnston, Charley Fulton, Lauren Starcke, Avery Patton, Maddie Donahue, Mamie Guthrie, Ellie Tant, Jasmine Jenkins, Caymin Ladd, Maggie Rickert, Sydney Bloedorn, Lourdes Doyle, Sydney Bloedorn, Avery Young, Madeline McNeely and Ana Barrera.

“This team is the most passionate, hardworking team I’ve had the pleasure to coach in my career,” said NHS head coach Brett Young. “These girls played every point as if it could be their last. This was a great experience for our team, our school and the Nolensville community, and we’re looking forward to next season and trying to do it all again.”
