Nolensville High’s theater department is making history onstage by earning first place in the state at the Tennessee Theater Association Conference.

Their performance of Scenes from Metamorphoses earned them straight superior ratings. As a result, the students will once again represent Tennessee at the Southeastern Theatre Conference. Only the top two teams from each state in the region get the opportunity to compete. The group also won Best Ensemble at the conference.

Two students won individual awards. Nolensville High students Haley Massey and Sam Skelley were both named to the All-Star Cast after their performances during the conference.

“These students bonded together as an amazing ensemble to demonstrate the craft of storytelling,” said NHS theater director Laura Lindsey. “I couldn’t be prouder of their commitment and their teamwork as an ensemble of storytellers. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of our students, faculty, administrators, community, sponsors and district.”
