The Nolensville High School Band has more than tripled in size, starting with only 35 students its first year. In response to the band’s extraordinary growth, the Nolensville Band Committee has been diligently raising money for band uniforms, instruments, percussion equipment and other essential supplies.
On Saturday, April 28th the Nolensville Band high school students will go door-to-door throughout Nolensville neighborhoods to sign-up homeowners for a subscription to the band’s American Flag Fundraiser. For the annual subscription rate of $50 band students will place an 8-foot tall flag in a subscriber’s front yard on five patriotic holidays throughout the year. Flag placement holidays include: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Veterans Day.
Flags are installed around sunrise and removed at sunset. This summer the Nolensville Band will begin its third year with more than 130 band students marching during the half-time show at Nolensville High School football games. Monies raised from the flag fundraiser will go to purchase marching and concert instruments for student musicians.
