No-Hit Victory in BA Baseball Opener

Brentwood Academy senior Ryan Victory had an Opening Day to remember, no-hitting Division II-AA foe Ensworth in route to a 5-0 win.

The 5-foot-11 right hander struck out seven and had a WHIP (walk, hits per innings pitched) of .43 in seven innings of no-hit ball. Victory put pressure on Tiger batters early, throwing 18 first-pitch strikes.

He remained humble throughout the night, even after his Twitter account was flooded with praise from friends.

The Eagles busted the game open in the fifth inning, bringing four runs across after only leading 1-0 prior.

Cole Marciniak had a game-best three hits for the Eagles.

BA continues their series with the Tigers today, hosting Ensworth at 4:15 p.m. The finale will be March 11 at Ensworth.
