We spoke to Victoria Jackson in Franklin about an upcoming event that you don’t want to miss.
Former Saturday Night Live cast member and Spring Hill resident Victoria Jackson will be hosting “A Night for Lavender Hair, Love and Laughter” This event will be a benefit for Breast Cancer Research featuring the former SNL cast member and her friends at Zanies Comedy Club on Sunday, October 8.
This event was birthed because of the journey that Victoria Jackson took with her breast cancer diagnosis in 2015. Jackson has decided to use her journey to encourage and help other women going through the same difficult situation.
She wants to bring hope and a little humor into what is a terrifying and dark time. Joining Jackson will be her two friends Suzanne Niles and Joe Battaglia for the special event.
Niles and Battaglia have had first-hand experience with breast cancer in their own lives. Niles sister has stage 4-breast cancer, and Battaglia’s wife was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Naming the event “A Night for Lavender Hair, Love, and Laughter” it will also be the release of Jackson’s latest book Lavender Hair. It will also mark the return of Jackson to stand-up comedy making it the perfect opportunity to bring awareness and raise funds for research during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
