Next Williamson Chamber Women in Business Luncheon Features CABLE President

The president of Tennessee’s largest network of female professionals will be the featured speaker at the Williamson Chamber Women in Business luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Brentwood United Methodist Church (309 Franklin Road.)

CABLE President Yolanda Harris-Jackson paid her college expenses by “doing nails and make-up” for fellow students. This was the beginning of a 19-year career in the beauty and wellness industry   ̶ work that Harris-Jackson believes allows her to help people transform their lives physically, mentally and spiritually.

An active community leader, Harris-Jackson was a “preacher’s kid” growing up in Nashville. In 2007, she founded the Daughters of Destiny Ministry, which serves girls from ages 8 to 18. She is director of the Daughters of Destiny free camp for girls during one week each summer.

Crowned Miss Black Tennessee in 1995, Harris-Jackson also has received the Nashville Emerging Leader Award for Hospitality and the CABLE Rising Star Award. She was a nominee for the Young Professionals Athena Award.

CABLE is Tennessee’s largest and most established network of diverse professionals committed to connecting women and opportunity.   It is aimed at fostering relationships that help members grow their businesses, serve their communities and develop their unique talents and strengths.

The Chamber’s Women in Business group provides educational and leadership development for women of all ages with the aim of creating a robust mentoring and support network that fosters success in both careers and community engagement.

The luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m.,  and is presented by Williamson Medical Center. The cost is $20 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members, who may register as guests. Sign up at williamsonchamber.com by noon on Friday, Oct. 24, to avoid the $5 late fee.
