The TSSAA announced the school classifications for the 2017-2021 cycle Tuesday.
Centennial (1,667 students), Independence (1,677), Franklin (1,645), Brentwood (1,754) and Ravenwood (1,772) will be placed in Division I Class 6A for football and AAA for baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball and wrestling.
Page (1,123) and Summit (1,406) will compete in Class 5A for football and AAA for all other sports.
Nolensville (942) will be placed in Class 4A for football and AA for all other sports, except wrestling (A-AA).
Spring Hill will be placed in Class 4A for football; AAA for baseball, basketball and softball; and AA for volleyball and soccer.
Fairview will remain in Class 3A for football and will compete in AA for all other sports.
Grace Christian Academy is in Class 1A for all sports.
Fairview and GCA are the only area Division I schools that will compete in the small group for cross country, track & field, golf and tennis.
The large group consists of 161 high schools that have student enrollments of 754 and greater.
In Division II, Battle Ground Academy (364), Brentwood Academy (497), Christ Presbyterian Academy (449) and Franklin Road Academy (266) will compete in DII-AA for football, while Father Ryan (912) bumps up to DII-AAA.
BGA, CPA and FRA will be placed in DII-A for all other sports, and BA and Father Ryan will be in AA.
