The shopping center on the corner of Hillsboro Road and Mack Hatcher Parkway in Franklin is getting another store.
Next to the Zaxby’s and across the parking lot from the Casual Pint, construction is underway. When complete, most likely sometime in the summer, it will be the new home of a tack shop, according to multiple sources. Officially the space is not yet leased, but sources with knowledge of the landlord’s plans say it will be a tack shop. There are rumors among the store owners in the shopping center that it will be the location of a tack shop that is now located in Grassland, but they could not recall the store’s name. Tack shops in the general area include Wilker’s Custom Horse Products, Tennessee Tack Exchange and Judy’s Tack Shop.
A previous version of this post reported the store as Judy’s Tack Shop, but the store has denied this.
