New Principal at Heritage Middle Announced

Veteran administrator Dr. Dana Finch has been chosen as the new principal at Heritage Middle School. Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney made the announcement today.

Finch comes to Williamson County Schools after serving as principal of Goodpasture School since 2005. Prior to that time, she served as the principal of Harpeth Middle School in Cheatham County from 1998 to 2005. Finch began her career in education as a middle and high school English teacher at Cheatham County High and Harpeth High.

Finch and her husband Clint are no strangers to Williamson County Schools. Clint is a teacher and coach at Brentwood High School, and their two sons attend Williamson County Schools.

“I am so thrilled to become a part of Heritage Middle School,” said Finch.  “I look forward to building positive relationships with the students, faculty, staff, parents, and community of HMS. Together, we will make this year one of our best yet.”

Finch earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and English from Lipscomb University in 1992. She received her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Educational Administration from Tennessee State University in 1994 and 1998 respectively.
