Leiper’s Fork is a quiet community south of Franklin known for art galleries, a slice of the Americana Triangle and the home of celebrities like Justin Timberlake, Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman.
But now Leiper’s Fork is home to a new restaurant with a lot of familiarity and history.
1892 Leipers Fork or often referred to as just 1892 by owners, husband and wife, Jordan and Dylan Morrison wanted to reflect the history of the building.
Jordan told us, “The building we reside in was built in 1892…we loved the vibe of the name and how it reflects authenticity, which is what we strive for. Great, fresh, clean food…a good bit of it from right down the road. Warm, friendly, service. And not to mention most every piece of decor and furniture, including the tables are from that time period.”
The genesis of 1892 started down the street at another local favorite in Leiper’s Fork, Pucketts.
“Dylan grew up in Leiper’s Fork. He and I actually met while working together at Puckett’s out here years ago. We’ve both been in the food industry for years. So when the opportunity presented itself it just felt right. Full Circle,” said Jordan when sharing about how they decided to open 1892.
When visiting Leiper’s Fork it’s rustic eclectic feel is like no other place, Jordan says, “We feel that Leiper’s Fork is the Napa Valley of Tennessee. A picturesque village preserved amidst all this beautiful farmland. Why not help take care of that and support the local farmers?”
Dylan is the chef at 1892 and he has an absolute passion for feeding people.
In featuring local farmers and vendors, Jordan says the menu will change some seasonally but the staple items on the menu like the 1892Â Bear Creek burger will be a mainstay.
Currently, the restaurant serves craft beer but you are welcome to bring your own wine for a corkage fee of $10 per bottle. Hours of service are Wednesday – Saturday 11 a – 9 p.
