New Home Decor Store to Open in Downtown Franklin

Onyx & Alabaster

Tanya Hembree of Tanya Hembree Design shared an exclusive announcement with us on Wednesday afternoon.

Hembree, who has an interior design studio next to The Factory in Franklin, will not only offer interior design services but will soon open a home decor store in downtown Franklin in a historic home circa 1800s.

The store will be called Onyx & Alabaster, offering accessories, pillows, as well as furniture items in a transitional style with the selection changing often.

The storefront will be located at 134 Second Avenue North next to the Harpeth Square project. Onyx & Alabaster will take up the front half of the 2300 square foot historic home and Hembree will also move her interior design studio into the space.

The design studio will operate from the new location in March while work begins on the retail portion. Hembree stated the store will be opening on April 27th.

In talking about why Hembree chose the name Onyx & Alabaster, she told us that she felt it was edgy and yet classic all at the same time.
