New General Manager for Titans Announced

Titans

Multiple NFL and media sources close to the Titans have announced that former Tampa Bay Buccaneers director of player personnel. Jon Robinson, is the new Titans GM .

Robinson is a Union City, Tennessee native and the Titans gig would be considered his dream job.

Robinson spent the past two seasons in Tampa after working for 12 years in the New England Patriots organization as a scout and director of college scouting (2009-2013).

The Titans have won a total of five games the past two seasons and own the No. 1 pick in the 2016 draft. Before Robinson gets to the draft, he’ll need to hire a coach.

Tennessee’s current leadership has expressed a desire to potentially keep interim coach Mike Mularkey. It’s unclear at this stage if Robinson would be the one ultimately making the coaching decision. It would seem more likely that Robinson would lobby for Josh McDaniels, the current New England Patriots Offensive Co-ordinator. Media rumors abound that ownership wants to keep Mike Mularkey. Titans fans aren’t as excited about the prospect.

Details on the press conference will be reported as soon as the Titans make the announcement. More Titans News
