Fairview Guns & Ammo is officially open in Fairview, at 7117 Cox Pike.
Husband-wife team Ryan and Kimberly Brooks are behind the new gun shop. The couple have always had a passion for hunting and shooting and dreamed of taking their hobby to the next level. A year ago, they got their Federal Firearms License (FFL) and began a home-based business–KRB Firearms, as well as attend gun shows to promote and sell their products. Their plan was to build their business for several years before opening a store, but an ad on Craig’s List caught Ryan’s eye.
A previous gun shop owner was looking for someone to rent his building. The signs couldn’t have been any clearer! Ryan and Kimberly checked out the building and the area and knew it was the perfect place for their shop. Although the couple lives in Lebanon, they feel that Fairview is where their shop will thrive.
“The ultimate decision to go ahead and open in Fairview despite the hour and twenty minute drive we are going to have from Lebanon was kinda easy. Fairview has a quiet country feel to it. Its a small town with great people in it from what we have seen so far,” said Ryan.
As far as the name of the store, Ryan says that despite trying to come up with a “fancy name,” they realized simple is best.
Fairview Guns & Ammo is officially open April 9th. They will be open Thursday through Saturday 9a-6p.
They will have a special Grand Opening Weekend May 1-3, where they will have door prizes, including firearms, ammo, cleaning kits, holsters, shirts and other items. Shoppers who buy a handgun from Fairview Guns & Ammo between now and the Grand Opening Weekend will be automatically entered to win a handgun.
On Saturday, May 2nd, they will have free hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks for those who want to celebrate the Grand Opening.
