At 142 2nd Avenue North in downtown Franklin a new children’s store has opened. The Purple Butterfly, offering children’s clothing and toys, is currently holding a soft opening. The store occupies a house on Second Avenue now painted with a purple door and purple signage.
With For Every Child leaving the downtown Franklin area, this will be a return of a children’s store to the area. Owner, Dale Buddle shared, “We chose Franklin because of the quaintness of the town, and the long-standing reputation Franklin has for unique shops. The support given to local merchants is phenomenal and was a pleasant surprise. We couldn’t be happier.”
What you will find at The Purple Butterfly is children’s apparel (newborn up to age 6 yrs), toys, and baby and children’s gift items. They also offer complimentary monogramming on all purchases. You can even have your children’s clothes monogrammed with your child’s own handwriting.
They have also partnered with other local merchants. Twine Graphics installed their new vinyl logo on their front door and they work with a local children’s photographer and artist who captures candid pictures onto canvas.
Keep checking with us as we will stop by the new store and get a first look at what they have to offer. Hours of operation will be Monday – Saturday, 9 a – 6 p and Sunday noon – 6 p. The Purple Butterfly will be hosting a grand opening on Saturday, March 31 at 9 a. Visit The Purple Butterfly Facebook page for more information.
