One Level Living Popular in This Dallas

neighborhood of the week

The neighborhood of Dallas Downs was completed in 1997, however, it’s still a popular Franklin community today. “Dallas Downs is known for its affordable, modestly sized, all brick homes, many of which offer one level living,” says Assistant Managing Broker Lisa Wurth with Benchmark Realty, LLC in Cool Springs.

“The lots feature mature trees and yards that are large enough to offer great living space, but not so large that they require a lot of maintenance,” she adds. These attributes make Dallas Downs attractive to a variety of people, such as families, young couples and retirees.

There are many reasons why people enjoy living in Dallas Downs, says Wurth. “Buyers like the sidewalks throughout the neighborhood, the community amenities and the mature, well kept feel of the neighborhood.”

With a total of 330 homes, Dallas Downs has amenities its homeowners enjoy, like sidewalks, a pool, pavilion that can be reserved free of charge, and a playground that includes a basketball court.

In addition, Wurth says the Dallas Downs covenants do not allow homes to be purchased for rental purposes, which homeowners like.

This Dallas is much closer than Texas, and worth a look if you’re ready for a move.
