The Nashville Originals, the city’s association of independent restaurants, will test the willpower of Nashvillians on Sunday, Jan. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the non-profit’s inaugural “Resolution Wrecker: A Nashville Originals Dessert Event.”
Nashville Originals member restaurants will gather at The Listening Room Cafe to serve up decadent dessert bites as a way to celebrate the start of Nashville Restaurant Week, which begins Monday, Jan. 15 and continues through Sunday, Jan. 21.
Guests will be treated to samplings of signature desserts from some of Nashville’s most beloved restaurants, as well as cocktails and tastings of local brews and spirits. Participating restaurants will be announced in the coming weeks.
Nashville Restaurant Week urges Nashvillians and visitors alike to support local, independent restaurants and experience special menus and unique dishes around town. The January edition will feature more than 65 local eateries.
“We wanted to try something new and give Nashville Restaurant Week the kick-off that it deserves,” said Claire Crowell, president of the Nashville Originals and COO of A. Marshall Family Foods, Inc. “After the holidays, bringing people together for a fun, dessert event will be the perfect way to start a week focused simply on the joys of food and community. ”
Proceeds from the event will benefit Nashville Originals and the non-profit’s efforts to promote local restaurants as a staple of Nashville’s culture and economy. More information regarding the event and ticketing can be found at nashvilleoriginals.com/resolutionwrecker.
