Juvenile Crime Task Force officers Monday night arrested six teenagers as they recovered a Ford Edge SUV stolen from Franklin and a nine millimeter pistol stolen from Brentwood.

A dispute between two groups of juveniles earlier in the day Monday led to a report of the Ford Edge traveling in front of a home on Claymille Boulevard with armed occupants inside. Task Force officers quickly located the vehicle and tried to stop it. The driver sped away. A short time later, the SUV was found parked at a gas station near the intersection of Moormans Arm Road and Whites Creek Pike.

The six teens inside, an 18-year-old, a 17-year-old two, 16-year-olds, and two 15-year-olds were detained. The 17-year-old was carrying the stolen pistol. He was charged with vehicle theft, theft of the gun and unlawful gun possession. All the others were charged with vehicle theft.

In addition, the 18-year-old, Marnesha Johnson, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors.
