Nashville FC is in the top tier of the Southeast Conference following a win against the New Orleans Jesters at Richard Siegel Park in Murfreesboro Saturday, May 30. Nashville FC defeated New Orleans, 2-1, but it wasn’t until Nashville FC Captain Luke Gearin scored on a penalty kick in the 20th minute, which set off an energetic tone for the rest of the match.

“The goal kind of woke us up,” said Nashville FC Associate Head Coach Kyle Roelke. “We started getting into rhythm with our formation. The goal just eased everything.”

New Orleans evened out the score in the second half, but Nashville FC’s Liam Collins put the ball in the back of the net in the 58th minute to give Nashville the lead for the rest of the game.

This week, Nashville FC will be on the road playing Georgia Revolution on Saturday, June 6, then Knoxville Force on Tuesday, June 9. Nashville FC will return home to Vanderbilt Football Stadium on Saturday, June 13 to take on the Atlanta Silverbacks (Reserves) in one of the last three home games this season.

Adult tickets for the June 13 match may be purchased for $9 at the door, or in advance at NashvilleFC.net.
