Nashville Airsoft Celebrates Grand Opening

Nashville Airsoft

Airsoft continues to grow as a fast-paced, high-intensity adrenalin rush, and Nashville’s only indoor Airsoft arena is fast becoming a premier destination for diehards and newbies alike to play, train and shop.

Nashville Airsoft has launched its new chapter in a renovated, 37,000-square-foot warehouse—tucked just across the Cumberland River from the heart of downtown and just across the interstate from Nissan Stadium—transformed to provide a full array of competitive Airsoft games, along with a massive selection of top-line guns, gear and accessories for sale or rent.

“We wanted a great place for entertainment in the center of the action, a go-to destination for adults but also a fun, safe place for kids to learn how to handle a firearm while having a blast,” says Josh Burgin, owner of Nashville Airsoft.

Nashville Airsoft is hosting a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, Dec 12th 10a-9pm. At the Grand Opening, you can expect:

Nashville Airsoft Owner Josh Burgin is a resident of Franklin and has operated a retail Airsoft store in Nashville for 11 years. He is thrilled to welcome longtime enthusiasts and beginners of all ages and abilities into an arena (or field) and store within a repurposed former textile mill that’s also home to Music City Indoor Karting. The Airsoft field is meticulously designed to evoke a warzone, complete with houses, back alleys, cars—even a full-sized travel trailer.

“I’ve wanted to open a field for about six years, and this was the perfect opportunity at just the right time,” Burgin says. “There are others in Middle Tennessee, but they’re all at least 35 miles outside of Nashville. Ours is right in the middle of one of America’s fastest-growing, most vibrant cities, convenient to everyone.”

Drawing comparisons to laser tag or paintball, Airsoft is “a step up—more intense, more exciting, more fun,” Burgin says. To boost the intensity, Nashville Airsoft pumps in pulse-pounding music during its games, along with sound effects ranging from air-raid sirens and fighter jets to flying bullets and explosions.

The games are much more than just fun, however—they also can be educational for law enforcement, security personnel and youngsters, while providing therapeutic benefits for military veterans.

In one case, a veteran confined to a wheelchair because of a combat wound has become a regular at Nashville Airsoft in the short time since the new arena opened. “We know that this kind of setting can have a positive effect on members of the military who have come back from tours on the battlefield and are working to assimilate back into a regular routine,” Burgin says.

Nashville Airsoft offers walk-in games in the arena and also hosts birthday parties, corporate team-building events, law-enforcement and security training sessions, bachelor/bachelorette celebrations, and more.

Individual game purchases are available, along with three tiers of membership: Bronze (three months), Silver (six months) and Gold (1 year). The arena is reserved for private events Wednesday and Thursday, and is open to the public Friday (3-9 p.m.), Saturday (10 a.m.-9 p.m.) and Sunday (1-6 p.m.). The retail store is open Wednesday-Thursday (12-7 p.m.), Friday (12-9 p.m.), Saturday (10 a.m.-9 p.m.) and Sunday (1-6 p.m.). For more details, visit www.nashvilleairsoft.com.
