A manhunt has been underway for Travis Reinking, 29, since Sunday morning after he entered the Waffle House at 3571 Murfreeesboro Pike and opened fire, killing four people and injuring two others.

A tip from the community led to the arrest of Reinking by Metro Nashville Police around 1pm Tuesday. A call came in that someone spotted Reinking near 5000 Mountain Springs Drive around a construction site. Detectives responded and once on the scene, workers told detectives the person went into the woods.

Detectives found Reinking in the woods near the Waffle House, where the crime took place. When they found him, he was wearing a backpack. Inside the backpack was a .45 semi-automatic weapon, a flashlight and a holster. Reinking was arrested without incident.

Once in custody, Reinking immediately requested a lawyer and he did not make an official statement. He will be taken to General Hospital first and then to the Nashville Jail where he will be booked on four counts of Criminal Homicide.
