Moonshine, Music-It’s All at Pilgrimage Festival

Sugarlands Distilling Company, crafters of award winning moonshine in the Smoky Mountains, will be the official moonshine sponsor of the 2015 Pilgrimage Music & Culture Festival in Franklin.

The festival is scheduled for September 26-27 and will be held at The Park at Harlinsdale—30 miles south of Nashville. The first installment of the annual gathering boasts an impressive linupe that includes Wilco, Willie Nelson, Weezer, The Decemberists, Sheryl Crow, Iron & Wine, and Steven Tyler.

Festival goers will be able to enjoy a variety of Sugarlands Shine cocktails during the two-day event. Drinks will be available for purchase at all concession locations and in VIP areas on the grounds.

“We are happy to partner with this exciting new festival,” said events coordinator Daniel Fluitt. “The stellar lineup and beautiful setting make Pilgrimage Festival one of the premier events in the south this year.”

Sugarlands Distilling Company’s downtown Gatlinburg distillery boasts one of the region’s best live music venues, and hosts some of the most talented bluegrass, country, and Americana acts from across the country.

The Sugarlands Spirit Stage Series—the distillery’s free music series—has brought talented acts like American Aquarium, Woody Pines, Folk Soul Revival, and many more to the mountains of East Tennessee.

“We love to pair good music and good moonshine wherever we go,” Fluitt said. “And Pilgrimage Festival offers fans the unique opportunity to enjoy both.” Tickets to the Pilgrimage Festival are still available online for purchase with option of one day or two day passes.
