The Kiwanis Club of Historic Downtown Franklin has announced Christian recording artist Bart Millard as the Grand Marshal for the 2018 Franklin Kiwanis Christmas Parade. Best known as the leader of the band MercyMe, he has also released two solo albums, and is the subject of the box office hit, I Can Only Imagine. Residents of Franklin, TN, Millard, his wife Shannon and their five children will lead the parade, held on December 1 at 2:00 p.m. in Historic Downtown Franklin. Franklin Firefighters will collect toys for their annual toy drive along the parade route.
Groups or individuals wishing to participate in the parade may register here. Volunteers are also needed to assist with parade logistics and students to assist with carrying banners in the parade. To volunteer, email [email protected]
