Menu Maker Catering: Bringing Fine Food to You

Local Small Business of the Week Header

Mary Weary has been at this for more than 30 years.

The owner of Menu Makers Catering has developed strong roots in Williamson County, where they are known and valued for providing some of the most delicious, authentic and you-can-only-eat-so-good-here food.

“Every event is customized to each unique client’s specific needs, desires and expectations,” said Weary. “Our food, decor and display will delight you and your guests.”

The catering company is comprised of focused and highly-talented team of culinary wunderkinds and expert event coordinators. They work everything from weddings to corporate conferences, and their client list exemplifies good taste.

Weary, who founded the company in 1992 after working in foods marketing for 10 years, would rather let her food do the talking but her long-standing community relationships say more than enough.

From international giants like Nissan and Mars to regional superstars, Williamson Medical Center, The Nashville Technology Council, Vanderbilt University and the Nashville School of Law, Menu Maker Catering counts 16 of the Top 25 Private Sector Employers in Williamson County among their clients. They cater to tourists for Belle Meade Plantation, and to the Womens Club of Nashville.

This list of clients really represents nearly three decades of hard and high-quality catering by Menu Makers.

“I got started by doing Wednesday night suppers for two different churches,” Weary said. “And then the catering kind of spun out of of that.”

Over the years, she has had a few favorite or go-to menus that she likes to suggest.

“We do all different types of food, but obviously have tendency toward upscale southern food,” she said. “I like to do fresh appetizers. Here lately one of my favorites is a watermelon feta bite, another classic is pecan crusted chicken, or chicken picata. Our Belle Meade menu features things like sliced casserole, garlic grits and bacon wrapped chicken.”
