Mayoral Forum Opens to Public Oct. 15

In anticipation of Election Day for Franklin’s mayor and four at-large alderman seats, Williamson, Inc. will host a candidates forum Thursday, Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m. at Franklin City Hall. Williamson, Inc., Williamson County’s chamber of commerce & economic development, encourages the public to submit candidate questions. For more information, call 615-771-1912 or visit www.williamsonchamber.com.

Get ready to vote for your mayor and City of Franklin at-large aldermen. Voter registration deadline is Monday, Sept. 28. In less than a month, early voting will begin on Oct. 7 and last through Oct. 22 at the Williamson County Administrative Complex, 1320 West Main Street in Franklin. Election Day is Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Forum questions will be focused on candidates in contested races but incumbents Mayor Ken Moore, Vice Mayor Clyde Barnhill and Alderman Brandy Blanton, who are running unopposed, will be given time to share their priorities and chat with residents as well. Alderman Pearl Bransford is up against Cool Springs-area resident Steven Undercoffer, and Alderman Ann Peterson is facing challenger Peter Dellos from the Boyd Mills Estates area. Both Undercoffer and Dellos have made Franklin their permanent homes within the past few years, and neither have run for city office before.

For more information on upcoming elections, call the Williamson County Election Commission at 615-790-5711 or visit www.williamsoncounty-tn.gov.
