Foodie and BBQ connoisseur Chris Osburn spent 3 weeks travelling across the South in search of the regions best BBQ. He traveled 2,500 miles and blogged about his findings. His BBQ adventure was also published on Huffington Post.

Osburn writes that his trip “turned out to be one of the smartest — and tastiest — travel ideas I’ve ever had. A heaping helping of delectable local culture at every stop was all but ensured alongside the opportunity to enjoy some of the most deeply satisfying meals of my life — usually presented with warm reception at independent, family-owned establishments.”

Osburn named Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint7238 Nolensville Road, Nolensville, as one the best BBQ joints in the South.

“Pat Martin’s celebrated restaurant in suburban Nashville does hickory smoked whole hog, accompanied by as enticing a menu as any. Highly recommended is the Redneck Taco (BBQ on top of a cornbread hoe-cake topped with slaw and sauce with a choice of pork, brisket, sausage, chicken, turkey or catfish),” writes Osburn.
